TG GURUKUL MISSION FOR SKILL AND CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAMS UNDER NEP 2020

  1. Assist in goal-oriented execution of NEP 2020’s objectives across a comprehensive set of initiatives.
  2. Provide skill and capacity building programs to the underserved and digitally divided segments with certitude towards significantly enhancing student outcomes.
  3. Provide instant enhancement and scale to governments’ digital platforms.
  4. Assist in expanding and enhancing platforms and initiatives including DIKSHA, NISHTHA, Tamanna (Measuring Aptitude and Numerical Abilities).
  5. Aid in setting up blended and hybrid modes of learning ecosystems.
  6. Ensure alignment to the standard of content, technology, and pedagogy for online/digital teaching-learning, to be set by the NETF and other appropriate bodies.

  • The principal goal of PMKVY 4.0 is to make the existing training eco-system more:

  • PMKVY 4.0 will be implemented between 2022-26 with a strong emphasis on making the programme candidate centric by creating an enabling ecosystem to meet the aspirations and emerging sectoral needs:

    • b. To create a platform for both demand and supply side by making the existing skilling eco-system more flexible, swift, and geared to meet the emerging demand.

NEP 2020 Guidelines on capacity building

  • For Teachers
    • 50 hours of CPD (continuous professional development) for teachers as per para 5.15 and 5.16 of NEP.
    • Competency-based education and assessment reforms (NEP para 4.6)
    • Online courses on DIKSHA, PISA competency training, etc. for teachers. (NEP para 3.4)
    • FLN (foundational literacy and numeracy) - by grade 3. However, if any courses are launched for grades 6 to 8, learning levels for students should be checked for proper alignments.
  • For Students
    • Supplementary aid from authentic and trusted Educators/Orgs., courses based on:
      • ICT usage
      • Aptitude
      • English speaking and listening skills
      • General knowledge about India as a country and local regions of habitat, etc.
      • AI, ML
      • Financial literacy
      • Design thinking
      • Various vocational courses on beauty and wellness
      • Understanding what organic produces in agriculture are
      • Food habits & source of nutrition. Build balanced diets, how to switch to healthy junk food, etc.

Objectives

  • Student scan upgrade their skill every year by continuing the same skill course or joining an advanced course to build capacity.
  • All these are conducted on a yearly basis to confirm or modify the skilling courses of a student.
